I do indeed have hobbies

FOR CITIZEN.

For my first-ever full-sized quilt, I made a 50” x 50” custom appliqué blanket inspired by one of my absolute favorite emo albums: As You Please by Citizen.

The quilt top is comprised of salvaged fabric and handmade star-shaped appliqués that were machine-bound. The floral quilt backing and binding is a repurposed vintage bedsheet—the print is a subtle homage to the motifs of Citizen’s debut album Youth.

FOR Brett & TESSA.

This 40” x 40” quilt top is a to-scale recreation of the album art from City & Colour’s incredible third album Little Hell. I was honored to create this special piece to celebrate the birth of two longtime pals’ first child.

The quilt backing is made of vintage cotton printed with tulips, a nod to the album art’s inspiration: Allard Schager’s photograph Fields of Gold, taken in the tulip fields of Alkmaar, North Holland.

FOR CY.

Cy and his wife requested an earth-toned geometric quilt to use as a headboard. From there, I designed a mood board and created a to-scale mockup to bring their vision to life.

The result: 60” x 60” Kona Cotton quilt | back pocket for a dowel/headboard setup | vintage deadstock backing for a unique touch

FOR FUN.

A modified interpretation of Kelley Matt’s “glitch quilt” pattern that I made for a White Elephant exchange.

Rounded corners, wavy topstitching, the brightest colors Kona cotton has to offer—this baby’s got it all!
